• All sales are final. All our items are checked before shipping in order to ensure quality. There is a no return policy unless items are misrepresented. We do not accept returns for items that do not fit right. Please note that colors may vary depending on your monitor settings. We do not take returns for color disputes.

• Please ask everything before finalizing your order. You are given 3 days to make full payment after submitting the order form. 

• The order form or orders via SMS and PMs will serve as a contract that obligates the buyer to pay for what he/she ordered. Please do not order if you DO NOT intend to buy the item/s.

Laptop Skin FAQs

 

Please note that all our Laptop Skins are made and custom fitted in the U.S. so if your order is not in stock there is a 1 1/2 weeks wait.

What are Laptop Skins and what are they made of?

All our Skins are made in the U.S. They are made of specially developed vinyl with an amazing removable reusable adhesive on the back designed to be removable without leaving any sticky goo behind.  It’s truly amazing!  They also are designed to lay over any beveled logo and although it may appear slightly raised in the middle it should lay over it with out any problem. 

You can change your skins as frequent as you want depending on your mood.

How do I measure the dimensions of my laptop? 

Measure the top of your laptop and choose the appropriate size based on the fit you would like. If your laptop is an uncommon size, a larger Laptop Skin can be wrapped over its edges, ordering a smaller Laptop Skin will leave a border or a space around the top of the laptop without any sticker.

Note that you can always trim a larger Laptop Skin to fit a particular laptop.

Please do not forget to also include the make and model of your laptop when filling out the order form together with the dimensions (Width x Height) of your laptop.

I have brand X (or a customized) Laptop from local stores. Is my laptop model still supported?

It doesn’t matter what brand your laptop is. We usually require for the brand models of the laptop to ease up the process of double checking the right fit or dimensions of the Laptop Skins. We have a variety of models and sizes already available for each brand and models of laptop and we’ll custom trim your Skin to your exact laptop or requested dimension. All Skins can be trimmed but we’d be happy to custom cut one specifically for you.

We custom trim to fit any size laptop at no additional charge. Just don’t forget to include the make and model of your laptop when filling out the order form together with the dimensions (Width x Height) of your laptop. We'll custom trim your laptop to your exact specifications.

What if I sent a slightly bigger dimensions and the Laptop Skin that I got is slightly large for my laptop?

No problem! You can always trim a larger Laptop Skin to fit a particular laptop.

How do you apply the Skins?

The Skins are super easy to apply and instructions for application are on the back of the labels.  They go on very similarly to a normal sticker but because they are removable, if you make a mistake, simply remove the Skin and start again. Are the Laptop Skins removable and reusable?

Removing a Skin is super easy.  Simply make sure your laptop is closed and then pull up the Skin starting on one side. The removable adhesive is amazing and makes them a cinch to remove. Again, for more detailed instructions, click here.

How durable are the Laptop Skins?

Our Skins are designed to not only look great but also protect the top of your laptop.  All Skins have durable top coating that will protect the image and allow you to cleanly wipe off any dirt or spill that get onto the top of your Laptop.  If you get your Skin wet, simply wipe it off.  We have tested these under very tough conditions and are confident that they can hold up to normal handling.

My laptop gets really hot. Will this affect my Laptop Skin?

Your Laptop Skin will not be affected by the heat.  Many laptops run extremely hot.  The majority of this heat is on the bottom of the laptop and studies have show heats up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.  Our Skins are designed for the top of your laptop and are guaranteed to hold up in temperatures up to 140 degrees.  Just to give you a sense of how hot that is, according the National Burn Center, you would receive 2nd degree burns after touching something at 140 degrees for 5 seconds.

I have a logo on my laptop, will the Laptop Skin cover it?

Yes, our Skins will go over the logo on the top of your laptop.  It is designed to lie relatively flat.  You may see a subtle outline of the logo if it extrudes from the top of your laptop but it will look great. We don't trim around the logo but actually designed the product to go over the top of all logos...even the big ole Dell Logo.  

I have an Apple notebook that has a glowing apple, will it shine through the Laptop Skin?

Suede Skins Cleaning Guide

 

It is easy to keep the Suede Skins looking beautiful and feeling soft and plush for years to come.

 

Before doing any step, be careful to ensure you don’t get dirt on the adhesive side as it will loose it’s stickiness over time if dirt gets on it. Basic water or soap and water should do the trick for most spills and stains.

 

 For spills and stains

 

1. Take the Laptop Suede Skin off the laptop and place it on a non-porous surface, like a kitchen counter.
2. Wiping the stained area with a well-wrung cloth dampened in lukewarm water.
3. It’s important to make sure you use a clean area of the cloth applied to the stain and that you do not rub the fabric too hard.
4. If the surface nap looks tousled, brush it gently.
5. After wiping up, allow the fabric to dry completely before reapplying it to your laptop.

Applying, Trimming and Removing Laptop Skins

1. Sizing up your Laptop Skin

Our Laptop Skins are designed to fit the most common sizes of laptops. On some, the Skins may extend over the edge slightly and on others it may leave a border.

 

·        Close your laptop.

·        With the backing still on, lay your Laptop Skin on top of your laptop in the position you want.

Note: Our Skins are designed to have the bottom placed at the hinge of your laptop so the image is upright when the laptop is open.

 

If your Laptop Skin still is too large you can trim the Skin to the correct size (see “Trimming your Laptop Skin” below).

 

2. Applying your Laptop Skin

After you have sized up your Laptop Skin and trimmed it if necessary,

·        Ensure the top of your laptop is clean.

·        Lay the Laptop Skin on your laptop in the desired position.

·        Starting at the hinge of your laptop, peel off the white backing and begin to apply the Skin.

Note: Be careful. Prevent the Skin from adhering to itself.

·        With your hand, wipe over the Skin as you apply it to the laptop to remove bubbles.

 

If bubbles appear or you want to reposition your Skin, simply pull up the desired section and reapply.

 

3. Smile

You did it!

 OPTIONAL: Trimming your Laptop Skin (before you apply the Skin)

 

If your Laptop Skin is too big for your laptop, you can always trim it to size.

 

• On your closed laptop, lay the Skin on top and determine how much and where you would like to trim your Skin.

            Note: If the Skin is too wide, we suggest taking an equal amount of each side to ensure the Skin is still centered.

• Remove the Skin and use a pencil and a ruler to mark where you will cut the Skin.
• Trim the Skin to size using either scissors or a rotary cutter for a super straight edge.

Now that you’ve trimmed it to size, you can move on to “Step 2: Applying your Laptop Skin”.

Ready for a new look?

 

Simply remove your Laptop Skin by following these instructions.

 

• Close your laptop.
• Carefully remove the Skin by peeling it up from one corner and slowly removing the entire Skin.

Note: The Skins can be stored on any clean non-porous surface when not   on your   laptop.
